I believe emotions are divinely given and should be respected and inspected for the message (or warning of trouble) the “negative” ones often carry. However, reliving them over and over is like leaving the painfully loud and intrusive Tornado Warning Alert on for days and weeks and months after it did its job. At that point, the warning becomes the threat.
